This a fine feather I found while walking in a park in Bend, Oregon. This large feather belonged to some kind of raptor.
Almost positive that it is from a red shouldered hawk. I have one that is almost identical and it is from a RSH.
I don’t think Central Oregon is part of their normal range, but it’s possible. Lots of Red-tailed and Cooper’s Hawks around here.
