enlightened and singed
the blur of autumn
catcher of fading colors
thoughts of winter’s chill
sheepherder’s wagon
rolling across windswept plains
steady sentinel
wind-sculpted mountains
emerge from sandy shorelines
embrace life, vanish

guided by shadows
emerald meadows slumber
slip into summer
the path meanders
up a rocky desert butte
embraced by spring clouds
delicate feather

settles on snow drifts
