A gray fox blissfully basking in the sunlight on a log.
Zooming in a little closer to see the details of her coat.
Zooming in closer still to focus on her exquisite and intelligent face.

Thanks! She was great at posing while I clicked away. 🙂
Fabulous photos
Thank you, Sheree!

Thanks so much, Alison!
Awww, she is beautiful! 🤎
Yes, she is, Lisa!
What an amazing capture of that beautiful fox, Siobhan! Well done!
Thanks, Terri! She’s a cutie. 😀
What a beautiful creature Siobhan – wonderful images.
Yes, she is a beauty. Thanks, Tina!
Such a beautiful animal! Did she visit your garden, Siobhan!?
Yes, she is, Marilize. No she is at the High Desert Museum. She was found abandoned in the desert of Arizona, starving and with a broken hip. She was wearing a collar and, since she was unafraid of humans, cannot be released into the wild. She is well taken care of in her new home. 🙂
Wonderful images, Siobhan. The close up shows the details of the fur. I love that. Just beautiful.
Thanks, Patti! Yes, she has a lovely coat.
WOW. Great photos!
Thank you, John!
Fabulous captures. Could that be an abandoned black-backed jackal? They are not native to the Americas I think
Thanks! No, this is a gray fox and they live in parts of North America and Central America. I looked up the jackal and you’re right about them looking similar. Both have beautiful coats. 🙂
Incredible shots! 😁
Thank you, Tom! She was posing for me beautifully that day.
I can only chime in – what a beauty! Glorious portraits, Siobhan – congrats! Love the fur and her face – not at all looking like our red foxes.
Thank you, Ann-Christine! Yes, she is a gorgeous little fox. 😀

Very cute grey fox!
Yep, she’s a cutie!
