What a dramatic shot! The dark clouds over the lake really make it feel like the storm is about to roll in at any moment. I especially like how the calm water contrasts with the threatening sky. Yellowstone must be an incredible place for photographing changing weather.

That cloud bank sitting right down on the water is exactly what Yellowstone Lake does on an afternoon – beautiful from a distance and slightly alarming if you are still out on it. In monochrome the weather becomes the whole subject. Wordless was the right call here.
