Before going on a long trip, I spent a lot of time shopping for a good boot for walking. Today I’m sharing my pen and ink boot drawings and photos.
While considering different boots, I considered the fit, materials, quality, etc. These Chaco boots seemed to be just what I was looking for. I liked the styling, but also how you can roll up the cuff to keep your ankles warmer in cold weather.
Unfortunately, these boots made a bony bump near my little toe swell up and get sore. Yowie! Since these and other boots regularly caused this problem, I finally decided to do something about it. Now I’m wearing a different kind of boot for walking.
I’ll be wearing this boot for six weeks. During the surgery, the doctor removed the bump and broke and realigned a metatarsal bone in my foot.
Since I’m spending a lot of time looking at this walking boot, I thought I might as well draw it. It reminds me of something out of Robocop or Transformers. Too bad it doesn’t give me superpowers! 😉
I did this drawing as part of the Inktober event. To participate, you draw a picture with pen and ink every day in October based on prompts. The prompt for these drawings was “Boots.”
