I decided to take pictures of some of the fruit and flowers in our garden today before they fade away.
Delicate petals of nodding hollyhocks filtered the sun’s light
Snapdragons filled the landscape, exploding in shades of pink
Iceplants with purple punctuations slid towards the pond’s edge
Coreopsis shone like brilliant golden stars
An abundance of Oregon grapes burdened branches
Prickly pear fruit lined up in rows along spiky leaves
Plump, soft strawberries rested on ripples of steel
Ripe raspberries clung desperately to vines before finally falling
It’s easy to sometimes overlook the fruit and flowers in your yard. The Lens-Artist Photo Challenge this week reminded me to pay attention to the beauty in my own yard.

Thanks, Ritva! Yes, we are lucky to be able to grow so much here.
I am happy to see so many fruits and berries too! Sometimes they are neglected, but should be higher ranked in gardens. Beautiful photography.
