  1. Are these headdresses from the Great Basin tribes or are they on display and from Great Plains peoples? Asking because this style is a not a universal style and I’m just curious. Thanks!

      • Thanks for that information. Fascinating. My great, great grandparents settled in the Okanogan after coming out west after the Civil War near what is the Colville Reservation. My great grandfather was good friends with some of the tribe and they made a hand beaded fawn skin coat and vest for my father when he was a toddler. I have them in shadow boxes. Some of my most treasured possessions. They were Plateau tribes.
