Here are some treasures of the Old West at the Museum of the American West, in Lander, Wyoming, shown in both color and black and white. Click on the arrows to see monochrome versions highlighting their symmetry.
Wheels may carry you forward, towards new horizons
Or back, to a final resting place
You may choose to wander in another’s shoes
Or stay behind, enduring the hardships
Though all eyes may be focused on you,
Make your own stories and forge ahead

I love the tiny shoes, so sweet and the chair is fascinating!
Thanks, Sofia! I love the beadwork on the mocassins and the chair is odd, yet cool. ;)
Fascinating photos and stories, Siobhan.
Thank you, Egidio!
Very clever response Siobhan, loved that you shared both color and B&W. Loved the typewriters which are not only symmetric with each other but also their keyboards are all symmetric - excellent. Also loved the old cameras (of course!)
Thanks, Tina! I had to do a little searching for that prompt. I'm glad you liked the old typewriters and cameras - tools from the past!
Excellent. How did you create the monochrome's? They have a lot of clarity, light, and focus. Excellent.
Thanks, John! I used Corel Paintshop Pro to change the photos into monochrome. It offers lots of effects to use when editing pictures.
Thanks. Microsoft. I'm on a Mac. Show biz.
Great examples, I especially loved the organized shoes. And the chair made fro moors is a work of art.
Thanks, Donna! The moccasins were beautiful and the chair was certainly unique.
what a beautiful selection of shoes.
Yeah, they are gorgeous!
We were in Lander Wyoming just a few days ago. We stopped to get a new battery for my car's key fob. If I'd have known this museum was there, you can bet I would have stopped. Oh well, next time!
Sorry you missed it, but it's definitely worth a stop in the future, John. We had a nice stay there at the Sleeping Bear RV Park in our campervan and a good meal at The Antler Restaurant.
Fascinating! And how clever to use shoes - I wish I had thought of that myself. Well done.
Thanks, Ann-Christine! Yeah items can be similar and still fit the definition of symmetry. I loved those moccasins!
GREAT selections.
Thank you, John! :D
