Siobhan, your opening image reminds me of snow at it's best, before it becomes dirty or melted. But we don't often picture it on a cactus, which makes a wonderful image. Your beach image made me imagine the cold of a wintry day in Oregon - the texture is perfect.
Thanks, Tina! Yes, snow accumulating on cactus makes a great opportunity for photos. The seaside picture was taken in July, but it was COLD! Still a nice place to visit, no matter the season. :)
Beautifully expressed and photographed Siobhan
Thanks, Sarah! A fun challenge.
I certainly would not want to put my hand into that first image. Beautiful photos SB. Thank you.

Thanks, Jude! Yeah, we use extra long tweezers to weed around the cactus. ππ΅
Love each one!
Thank you, Jessica!
Youβre welcome.
Great textures. Excellent.
Thank you, John! π
Beautiful images - all of them. The first one a stunner and your Oregon beach perfect in both colours and textures.
Thank you, Ann-Christine! It was a good challenge this week.
Beautiful texture selections! Love the last one especially. :)
Thank you, Amy! Lots of wonderful texture and color in Utah.
Great first shot - haven't experience cacti in snow before.
Thanks. I keep thinking the snow and cold temps will kill my cactus, but they keep getting bigger. π Not sure how to prune them. π΅
