Kwakwaka’wakw art, Seattle Art Museum: Sculpture Saturday

This beautiful collection of Kwakwaka’wakw art is at the Seattle Art Museum in Washington state. The display includes masks, a bowl, and two totem poles. Kwakwaka’wakw people live in British Columbia in western Canada. Their distinctive art may appear to be simplistic, but it often includes independent figures and motifs. The images tell stories and sometimes include funny elements.
