If you want to eat the best fish & chips in the Central Oregon area, be sure to visit a Wild Catch food truck. Their wild-caught cod is dipped in a Wild Ride brew beer batter and deep fat fried. It’s nice and crunchy on the outside and tender and delicious inside. They sell English style Two-piece Fish and Chips and Three-piece Fish and Chips baskets that include house made coleslaw, fries, tartar sauce, ketchup, and a lemon wedge. Coleslaw can be bland and boring, but I like the flavor of theirs. Their crunchy fries are cooked perfectly.

The graphics on their trucks are simple but bold.

I also like their Stingin’ Honey, Garlic Shrimp basket. It includes ten shrimp dipped in beer batter and tossed in their Stingin’ Honey Garlic sauce. It also includes coleslaw, fries, ketchup, and a lemon wedge. These sticky treats are sweet with a little spicey flavor from the garlic.

Wild Catch also serves seafood combo baskets, chicken strip baskets, chicken wings baskets, several sides, and a raspberry cheesecake chimichanga. This business has been recognized as one of the best food trucks in The Source’s Best of Central Oregon publication.

You can find Wild Catch English Style Fish & Chips food trucks at Wild Ride Brew, 335 SW St., Redmond, Oregon, and at Wild Ride Brew, 1500 NE 3rd St., Prineville, Oregon. They are open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. We live about halfway between these two locations. Both have indoor and outdoor seating and beer on tap, plus other beverages. There is more parking and seating at the Prineville location.
