Falling back into Autumn: LAPC & TTC

When days start to shorten and nights take on a chill,

the world begins falling back into Autumn.

A single fallen leaf shines as brightly as a star,

announcing Fall’s arrival.

Leaves begin to turn,

slowly at first.

Hidden tree spirits rejoice,

reflecting upon the changing seasons.

Hues intensify,

in enthusiastic explosions of color.

Mountain roads, lined with gold, ruby, and emerald leaves,

twist and turn with the weight of such treasures.

Gardens, falling back into Autumn,

celebrate by dressing in Fall’s finery.

And when Autumn moves towards Winter,

leaves fall in frost-covered confetti.

Faded leaves collect upon the soil,

nourishing the slumbering seeds of Spring.

The Lens-Artist Photo Challenge this week is “Looking Back.” All of the pictures in my post today were found while looking back through the archives on my Bend Branches blog. Sometimes, looking back can reveal treasures of the past worth sharing again. Happy Fall!

Bend Branches always appreciates your comments and likes. Comments may not appear right away since they’re screened for spam prior to posting. Thanks!
