Excellent choices, Siobhan. The photos are beautiful. I really like the crab image. The red is so vibrant. I also like the color contrast of the single yellow leaf against the green. It shows the power of warm colors.

Thanks, Donna! I've always liked the one of the aspen leaf. The funny thing is... WordPress did not save what I had written to go along with each image yesterday. However, sometimes when you have to start from scratch, you produce something better. ;)
Thats true. It was great. I think there have been lots of glitches with WP lately. We have all been battling with tags and pingbacks. Such is WP life. But your post...super nice Siobhan.

Thank you, Tina! Those were some of my favorite fossils seen on our trip last spring. The loss of part of that post reminded me I should probably save the written part somewhere else as insurance. Ooops!

A lovely response to these challenges Siobhan :) I saw your comment about losing part of the post and saving written parts as insurance. I always write my posts in Word first, and save them, then copy and paste the text into the blog. I've been doing that since my early days on Virtual Tourist which had a bad habit of crashing just before you pressed publish! It doesn't take any longer and could save lots of time if anything goes wrong mid-post.
Thanks, Sarah! Yes, it's easy to save the writing in Word, with the added bonus of using editing tools. Sometimes I'm just lazy and compose posts only in WordPress, but I learned my lesson this weekend. 😊
