Remembering moments of magic in Oregon
Rambling past remnants of history with curious children in tow
Watching bird broods on windswept islands stretch their wings to flutter and fly
Feeling the pounding rhythm of roiling water and the softness of its spray
Listening to voices from long ago telling tales of hardship and happiness
Pausing to marvel at moments of magic in colorful soil, layer by layer

I love the black-and-white edits you shared. Magic was clearly in the air in these beautiful photos.
Thanks, Egidio! I thought it might be more magical in black and white.
I agree Siobhan, definitely the B&W choice made for more magic! Your falls image and your closing image are my favorites but all are wonderful and perfect for the week's challenge.
Thanks, Tina! I added infrared and vignette processing to each picture to up the mystery factor. π
Magical edits for these magical moments - just gorgeous!
Thank you, Sarah!
Magical images magically edited! How absolutely wonderful the magic works in B&W - I never would have thought of that. Well done!
Thanks, Ann-Christine! I wanted to make the photos mysterious and magical. π
I'm amazed at how magical these are "even" in B&W. They're all just wonderful. What more can I say? :-)

Thanks, Janet! I experimented with black and white and I'm glad you like how it turned out. π
Great monochromes, well done.
Thanks, John!
Great magical editing in black and white!
Thank you, Anne!
Usually B & W brings out more detail, and sharpens images for us. With your photos, this week, Siobhan you manage to soften them and create that magical mystical sense for us to take a deep breath over. And the words just flow right into those images. So nice. I am not sure I have ever seen Multnomah Falls in BW. Gorgeous.
Thanks, Donna! I softened them with infrared and vignette effects to heighten the magic. Glad it worked for you! :)
Love your take on! Beautiful in BnW. So well express...
The first image, wow!
Thanks so much, Amy!
