Intrigued to see this tree porcupine so different from the ground dwelling African species. Are they often sighted? Nocturnal?
The North American porcupine spends a lot of its time on the ground. They are mostly nocturnal so they aren't seen often. For pictures I took of one in the sagebrush steppe and more info on their life history, see one of my posts on them here: https://bendbranches.com/2016/04/17/pins-needles/
