Time Lines: Utah Parks

Time lines from long ago

The time lines are obvious in the many rock forms in state and national parks in Utah. Can you imagine the stories from hundreds of millions of years ago these land forms could tell us?

  1. I am so glad you chose these photographs!
The images are impressive. I like the way you captured the magnitude of the places. The sense of endless time and space. They all seem so planetary, especially Canyonlands. Your photograph makes me want to go there, to stand on the edge, to experience being awed in all my being. Thank you.

  2. Lovely photos of one of the few National Parks I haven’t visited. Thank you for sending them. It serves as a present you have sent, I’m sure, to my son, Ian. Lyn Macfarlane.

  3. Utah is one of my favorite states! It has so many wonderful National Parks. I usually go every year to visit family, but it’s been awhile since I’ve been to any of the parks. Your photos evoked some wonderful memories from my first time there.

    • Thanks! I liked Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon (in Timelines 2 post) the best. I loved the color of the layers at the first one and the stucture at the second.
