It's part of the Fort Rock tuff ring. Lots of interesting rock structures there!
I can't help but wonder what kind of critters, bird or what? have their homes in those very convenient "apartments". Really interesting photo.

Okay! I don't know where that is :P But I know it's beautiful to find such rock features! :D
It's in southern Utah. There are five national parks there - plus some interesting monuments and state parks. It's a paradise for geologists!
